Booking Terms & Conditions
1. Scope
These Booking Terms apply to all private watersports sessions booked through Lac Privé Zurich, whether booked via the website, by email or by another confirmed communication channel. By placing a booking, the booking guest accepts these terms on behalf of themselves and all guests included in the booking.
2. Booking and Confirmation
A booking request is not confirmed automatically. The selected time slot may be held provisionally while payment is completed. The booking is confirmed only once payment has been received.
3. Session Type
Lac Privé Zurich offers private watersports sessions on Lake Zurich, including activities such as wakeboarding, waterskiing and wake foiling.
The service is not a transport service, water-taxi service, sightseeing cruise or pure leisure boat trip. Each session starts and ends at the same agreed departure point.
4. Guests
Sessions are designed for 2 to 4 guests. For safety and practical reasons, watersports cannot be operated with fewer than 2 guests, as one person is in the water while another remains on board with the skipper. The maximum of 4 guests keeps the experience private, comfortable and allows enough time on the water for everyone.ercrc
5. Pricing, Duration and Payment
Prices are stated in Swiss francs (CHF) and apply to the selected booking option at the time of booking. The final price depends on the selected session duration and any optional add-ons. No VAT is charged unless expressly stated otherwise. The selected session duration applies at the time of booking. Standard sessions last 3 hours. Extended sessions are available depending on the selected booking option. Payment is required to confirm the booking. Payment options may include TWINT, bank transfer, PayPal, credit card or another payment link provided by Lac Privé Zurich. Additional hours may be arranged spontaneously during the session for CHF 200 per hour, provided there is no follow-up booking, weather and lake conditions remain suitable, and continued operation is possible. Additional time is subject to availability and must be paid before the extension begins or as otherwise agreed on board.
6. Boarding and Return
Sessions usually start and end at Bauschänzli Pier in central Zurich. Alternative hotel or private piers may be possible upon request and subject to prior confirmation. For operational and regulatory reasons, each session starts and ends at the same agreed departure point.
7. Included Services
The booking includes the boat, skipper, fuel, watersports equipment and personal on-water guidance. Complimentary water and towels are provided on board. Optional add-ons, such as the on-board camera, are charged separately if selected.
8. Food and Drinks
Guests are asked not to bring their own food on board. This helps keep the boat clean, comfortable and focused on the watersports experience. Complimentary water is provided during the session. An exception may be made for approved on-board refreshments arranged independently by the guest through their hotel, provided these items have been approved by Lac Privé Zurich in advance.
Lac Privé Zurich is independent from any hospitality provider. Any food or beverage items are provided by the relevant third party, not by Lac Privé Zurich. Lac Privé Zurich does not prepare, sell or serve food and accepts no responsibility for food quality, ingredients, allergens, packaging, storage or food safety. All packaging, leftovers and waste from externally provided food or beverage items must be taken back by the guests. Lac Privé Zurich does not provide waste disposal for externally provided food or drinks.
9. Participation and Safety
Participation in watersports activities is voluntary and takes place at the guest’s own responsibility. Guests must follow the skipper’s instructions at all times. The skipper may refuse or stop participation if a guest appears unfit, unsafe, impaired or if continuing the activity could compromise safety. All participants must be able to swim.
10. Life Jackets and Equipment
Life jackets and watersports equipment are provided and must be used as instructed by the skipper. Guests are expected to handle all equipment with care. Guests may be liable for damage caused by improper, careless or intentional use.
11. Children
Children from around 10 years old are welcome, provided they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and conditions are suitable. For safety and equipment reasons, younger or smaller children may not be able to use all watersports equipment.
12. Swimming
Guests are welcome to swim during natural breaks in the session, provided weather, lake conditions and safety allow.
The experience is centred around watersports, but relaxed moments in the water are part of a day on Lake Zurich.
13. Pets
Pets are not allowed on board.
14. Weather and Safety Cancellation
All sessions are weather-dependent. Lac Privé Zurich does not operate in rain, official storm warnings, strong wind or very choppy lake conditions. As a classic mahogany boat, the experience is designed for calm and comfortable conditions.
If the weather or lake conditions are unsuitable, Lac Privé Zurich may cancel the session up to one hour before departure. In that case, guests receive a full refund and may place a new booking for another available date.
15. Cancellation by the Guest
Guests may cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled session. Cancellations within 24 hours are charged at 50% of the booking price. No-shows may be charged in full.
16. Late Arrival
Guests are asked to arrive on time at the agreed departure point. If guests arrive late, the session may be shortened accordingly. The original end time remains unchanged and no refund is owed for lost time caused by late arrival.
17. Camera Add-On
If selected, the on-board camera add-on includes use of a Sony α7R IV camera with FE 50 mm F1.4 GM lens and a fresh SD card. Guests are responsible for careful handling and may be liable for loss or damage caused during use.
18. Personal Belongings
Guests are responsible for their own personal belongings. Lac Privé Zurich is not liable for loss of or damage to personal items unless caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
19. Insurance
Guests are responsible for their own accident, health and personal liability insurance. JOY Nautics GmbH maintains the required insurance for the operation of the boat and the services provided, subject to the terms and exclusions of the relevant insurance policy.
20. Liability
JOY Nautics GmbH provides the booked service with reasonable care. Liability is limited to damages caused directly by JOY Nautics GmbH, its employees or agents. Liability for indirect damages, consequential damages, loss of profit or loss of enjoyment is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability where exclusion is not permitted under mandatory Swiss law.
21. Image and Video Material
Lac Privé Zurich may take photos or videos during sessions for operational, documentation or marketing purposes. If guests do not wish to appear in any photo or video material, they should inform the skipper before the session begins. Guest images will not be sold to third parties.
22. Personal Data
Personal data submitted during the booking process is used to manage the booking, contact guests, process payment and provide the booked service. Personal data is handled in accordance with the applicable Swiss data protection laws. Further details are available in the Privacy Policy.
23. Changes to the Session
Lac Privé Zurich may adjust the activity order, location on the lake or session structure if required by weather, safety, lake traffic, operational reasons or official instructions. Such adjustments do not entitle the guest to a refund, provided the booked session can still be carried out in a reasonable manner.
24. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Legal Notice and Booking Terms are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Zurich, Switzerland.
